Master of Arts in Translation
In
Division I (translation), special emphasis is laid on the theoretical
and practical aspects of translation as well as research in translation
studies. Courses offered in the first year cover, in particular, the
following areas: History and Theory of Translation, Translation
Practice, Terminology, Précis Writing, Word Processing and Computer
Assisted Translation. The courses are offered in both English and
French.
In the second year,
translation and terminology courses are offered at a more advanced
level along with Literary Theory. Students are expected to submit and
defend a thesis in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the
award of the MA in Translation.
